All Art Is a Mirror

Every piece of art is a mirror.
Some mirrors are ornamented by beautiful borders;

Some mirrors are embellished by carvings on the shiny glass;

Some mirrors have jagged edges and tainted panes;

Some mirrors are cracked and covered with a thin film of dust;

While some mirrors are so clear you can look into your own soul.

But all art is a mirror,

A mirror that reflects you,

And the desires nobody understands,

The demons you can’t speak about,

The places you want to fly away to,

And the strings that make your heart flutter.
Art is you,

Nothing but you,

In your most raw form.
