From that enticing screen blazing beneath your eyes
Look up
There’s a world outside
I know
How addictive scrolling down that page can be
I know
How hard it is for your fingers to leave
But do it
And look out the window at the stars
But do it
Because how refreshing a sight the clouds are!
And then
Get up and walk out the door
And then
Hear as your heart will roar
Because
Your insides are filled with an irrepressible joy
Because
For a moment, your world isn’t a virtual lie
And you’re appreciating
The way the moon peeks out from between wisps of cotton
And you’re appreciating
The way your soul is exalted all of a sudden
